Hi All

We continue to meet at Cardiff RSL 6pm every Tuesday, feel free to come along and join the group. Membership of the group is $10 and we have set up a go fund me page for our group which you can find off our facebook page. Search facebook savethemyallroadbushland

Want to help us fund our fight to save this bushland and stop this development?

We are taking legal advice and action to stop this development, this costs money, stage 1 costs $2,500 plus (Legal Advice), stage 2 action potentially $10-15 thousand (barrister, solicitor and maybe court costs)

To help us fight this destruction, contributions can be given to

Our Group has settled on the name

SAVE MYALL ROAD BUSHLAND INCORPORATED (SMRBI)

We have submitted our incorporation application to Fair Trading and are awaiting our certificate to confirm the registration of our name.

Thanks to the Hunter Community Environment Centre Paul Winn and Jo Lynch who have assisted us, and also thanks to Gavin Ord from Cardiff Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group, these two groups have really stepped up to guide us. Thanks.

About Our Group

We are a group of very concerned and angry local people. We are concerned about the impact Development has on the wildlife and wellbeing of our community. We are very concerned about the destruction of Habitat and continued loss of Biodiversity in our area. We also understand that natural areas are very important to our health and wellbeing.

We believe the development will have significant impact on the local traffic and with more planning and consideration we believe the same benefits without the impacts can be obtained on other sights in the area.

We are also concerned that the accumulative effect on our environment is enhanced as we are about to see the destruction of bush through Jesmond and into Rankin Park for what will be a highly valued road for the community, it just places more pressure on all of us to try and retain as much bush as we can to provide those refuges for our fauna and flora.
